An Artist’s view of Chamba
A Portfolio of Chamba by Prabal Pramanik

This is a portfolio of eighteen reproductions made from art works by Prabal Pramanik on Chamba, a hill town in Himachal Pradesh. These art works are artist’s representations of various aspects of this interesting hill town with an ancient heritage. The artworks are made from sketches made on the spot by the artist in Chamba.
The artist, Prabal Pramanik made the colour works, representing Chamba in his own way with his own colour compositions. These compositions are not just architectural documentations or portraitures.
These pictures are the artist’s impressions that have re-represented reality. Prabal Pramanik, the artist who made the originals has created colour composition of the subjects in his own way, in accordance to his own imagery.
This portfolio can aptly be called Prabal Pramanik’s Chamba.
